Dr. Christine Coleman graduated with her PhD in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology from Florida State University, completed her predoctoral internship at Duke University Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) providing psychotherapy services and psychological testing to undergraduate and graduate students, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in a group practice in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Coleman is a licensed psychologist, and she integrates theory, research, and practice in her clinical work to provide evidence-based treatments. Dr. Coleman's experience working in a wide range of treatment settings have included university counseling centers, university career center, inpatient and outpatient hospitals, K-12th grade guidance department, and private practice. This has helped her develop a diverse set of clinical skills and the privilege to work with various presenting concerns among various age ranges, racial and cultural backgrounds, identities, and socioeconomic statuses.
Dr. Coleman approaches treatment using an integrative and inclusive counseling style, using cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness. Dr. Coleman currently offers mental health counseling and/or career counseling for adults 18 years old or older.
